Many of exceptional interest are the destinations reachable from Martina Franca: starting from the enchanting Itria Valley with its landscape dotted with white trulli which stand out from the green vineyards. In addition to Martina Franca, overlooking the Valle d’Itria also the characteristic towns of Locorotondo and Cisternino. And then Alberobello, one of the most fascinating places in Puglia, Castellana Grotte famous for caves of outstanding natural beauty.
Adriatic Sea point Egnathia, city and port of ancient Rome and, in the vicinity, the zoosafari di Fasano and the playground of Fasanolandia destinations of great fun for young and old. And yet Ostuni, the “white city” with a beautiful medieval village and its beautiful sea.
We cannot include in our brief list the town of Manduria, one of the most important Messapian centers, which houses an archaeological site of the most important of Puglia; Laterza, with the nature reserve of its ravine, Grottaglie with the ancient center and the famous District of Ceramics, rich in handicraft shops. And then the city of Taranto with its beautiful sea, the National Museum of Magna Grecia and the Ori. and the city of Lecce with the Baroque center of inestimable value, the sea and the beautiful scenery of Salento.
Last, but certainly not least, the city of Matera, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993, with its unique rock settlement, the most known by the nickname of “stones of Matera“.
